The Discovery Car encourages children to learn about how a real car works! Children will learn basic mechanics as they look under the hood and see how pistons and rods move and are connected to the gearbox that has a working 3-position gear shift. The rear wheels also rotate independently when the differential transfers the power to the rear.
Children can take all of the mechanical pieces apart by pressing release buttons and then easily snap them back onto the chassis. Children will also enjoy making this car "drive" and "park" using the steering wheel that really works. Lastly, children can pretend that they are real mechanics when they place the car up on both front and rear jacks and conduct their own "inspection" when they turn the front crank-shaft and set everything in motion. This allows them to go ahead and change gears to see how the speed of the wheels and pistons change.
