Description

A board game that will literally transport you back in time to Ride the Outlaw Trail with Butch Cassidy and The Wild Bunch!

Become Butch Cassidy! Fight against land grabbing railroads, greedy cattle barons and corrupt lawmen. Gather your gang and rob banks and trains. Skillfully trail cows and horses you acquire to shipping points. Features fantastic history and true outlaw stories from the era!

This is a game concept that has never been done before. Everything you do is actual history based on Butch Cassidy and the Wild Bunch as it was then, so it is here. Those Outlaws never knew if they would live to pull another robbery. Of course history tells us who did survive. Luck of the roll and the draw of a card decide the fate of each player in this game, much as for those ol' outlaws. There are some strategies that need to be learned to play the game well, and it never plays the same way twice. The one hundred and ninety two Outlaw Fate cards tell the real stories, and the game move associated with that story. There are thirty-two Outlaw cards. Each card is a mini biography of the actual folks of the time.

As a player you start out with 300 dollars, a horse and the clothes on your back. In order to be an outlaw you need to land on the spaces to gather your guns and gear. Then you can start to steal cows and horses. Critters you steal can be taken from you till you get them to a shipping point where they can be sold. You also need to land on the "Gather Outlaws" spaces to put your gang together. Once you have at least yourself and two other gang members you will be able to advance to the inner ring and rob banks and trains. Of course these are the actual robberies the Wild Bunch pulled. The historical data is printed on the square. This ring also contains the bulk of the "Outlaw Fate" spaces were once drawn these cards will either be good to you or bad. The game is actually two associated items, an exciting board game, and a history lesson about Butch and the "boys." You'll learn of the lady outlaws, brush with Pinkerton's, and meet one of the real Doctor's of the day. Horse racing was the passionate pastime of many outlaws. There lives depended on a fast horse and they were willing to bet that theirs was the fastest. With this in mind Horse Race squares have been included. These are fun, or very costly, just as in the old days. To win this game a player must take the Final Trail. This is Tom Horn country. You either win the game or lose your life. Players will literally come out of their chairs as fate deals them yet another interesting hand.

In order to distinguish this game from others on the market, the money has also been kept historical. Bank notes from the turn of the century (1900) have been replicated somewhat to add authenticity to this game. Note real batch numbers from antique pieces. Gold double eagles (20 dollar pieces) are included as Butch was famous for giving them as payment for small favors.

It has been created for families an friends, cowboy's and folks who simply were born a little late. School teachers love the actual history, and the need to read and do light math.

It's been awhile since we all gathered together around a common table to enjoy a game as exciting as this one. You'll gain good quality time with family on a very exciting trail. The quality of this game matches games of your yesteryear. By the way, did you remember that, it really did happen a hundred years ago. This is a game board we have waited a long time for.
