In Handyman, you start off the game with a pocketful of cash and a fistful of jobs that need to be completed around your home. Your goal in the game is to earn 50,000 equity in your home by completing improvement projects around the house.
Job Cards are dealt out to each player which represent renovations that you have "chosen" to undertake with reckless abandon. Detailed on these Job Cards are exactly what tools and materials are required for the job, which retail outlets on the board these are available at, and how much potential equity you can earn in your home by completing the job.
The important phrase to remember is "potential equity" because who among us is, after all, the perfect handyman?! Your fixtures don't fit? Another blown fuse? Got your hairy chest glued to the carpet you're about to lay?
Whether you're an experienced craftsman or don't know the head side of a hammer, Handyman is a great educational game for the whole family! And a little word of advice...watch out for your thumb!!!
