Parents may remember Shrinky Dinks from their own childhoods. If not, they're still young enough to enjoy them with their kids. The set includes a real Shrinky Dinks oven and a number of useful accessories instrumental in creating colorful, shiny ornaments kids can wear, decorate with, or give away. It's simpler than it looks: heat-sensitive plastic sheets feature outlined images children color in with the included pencils. They slide the sheets in the oven on an aluminum tray, also included. Minutes later, out pops a Shrinky Dink! Also included are an idea booklet, blank sheets for free-styling artists, and magnet backings and key chains for displaying the finished product.
Note: The set includes small objects that toddlers can choke on; the top of the oven gets fairly warm during processing; and the oven is electrical and must be plugged in. All considered, children under 4 should not use it, and children under 7 should not use it without some parental supervision. Parents supply a 60-watt candelabra bulb for the oven. Recommendations

Additional Information
The Incredible Shrinky Dinks Maker allows children (Ages 8+) to make Shrinky Dinks without Mom or Dad heating up the home oven. This ingenious maker allows children to place their Shrinky Dinks creation on a tray, slide it into the Heating Chamber (60 watt light bulb - not included) and watch it magically shrink through the viewing window. A second push of the Tray with a Tool moves the tray into the Cooling Chamber. Set the timer, your creation will cool and a drawer will release, there you will find your finished Shrinky Dink.
The Incredible Shrinky Dinks Maker comes with 3 Shrinky Dinks Shrinkable Plastic sheets, 3 Key Chains, 3 Colored Pencils, 1 Magnet strip, 2 Shrink Trays, a Shrink Tray Tool and a booklet that contains 18 traceable images. GREAT FUN!!

My 5 year old can't get enough of shrinky dinks 
LOVE IT!! My 5 yr old daughter received the shrinky dink maker as a Christmas gift and she cannot get enough of it. Your site made it so easy to order all the refills. I disagree with Patti's review unless she was just unlucky. The product works very well, especially for the price. You may need to wiggle or tug on an area to get it going but nothing difficult (the reason for 4 stars instead of 5). It is a great learning experience as she watches them amazingly shrink and curl and flatten, also fun, and artistic. Within a week of owning this toy my dauhter has already made all kinds of gifts for friends and babysitters, from keychains to refridgerator magnets to good luck charms and friendship tokens to hold in their pockets as a reminder of her friendship. Can't say enough about it. Just that the refills are hard to find, so order all of them from zooscape!

We found the shrinky dinks oven to be defective, the pan can not be pushed into the cooling chamber without getting stuck. It was not easy to retrieve the pan or the pieces being cooled. We exchanged the oven for another one and it had the same malfunction. Definately do NOT purchase this item!
