| | Description
A high performance outdoor boomerang, the Aerobie Orbiter flies out about 90 feet and then it really does come back. The Orbiter boomerang combines a high tech, triangular design with a bright colored, soft rubber edge. These features make it easy to throw and see in flight and soft to catch. Throwing instructions printed on the boomerang will help you learn to play catch with yourself in no time. Size: 11.5 inches per side, equilateral triangle. | | Recommendations
THROWING THE DISCS - If you want any of the Aerobie discs to fly straight, release them level. When people throw conventional flying discs they tend to release them sloping downward to compensate for their tendancy to roll over in flight. With Aerobie discs, this compensation is not needed so throw them level if you want them to fly straight. You can throw an Aerobie disc sloping to the left if you want it to curve left and sloping to the right if you want it to curve right.
SAFE PLAY - As is the case with any thrown object, throw an Aerobie disc only to an alert catcher. Play in a clear space so participants will not accidentally trip over or crash into trees, cars, people, and other hazards. Cease play if there is insufficient light to clearly see the disc in flight.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTION
I was disappointed that the Superdisc Ultra will not fly as far as the Aerobie rings will fly. Why is that? One of the key reasons Aerobie rings fly so far is their thin profile allows them to slice through the air with minimal drag. The Superdisc Ultra, like the Superdisc, is 3/4" thick which is about 6 times as thick as an Aerobie ring. If we had made the Superdisc Ultra 1/8" thick like the rings, it would have been unstable in flight. With the same thickness but additional weight, the Superdisc Ultra will fly farther than the Superdisc but it cannot rival Aerobie rings for distance of flight. | | Additional Information
All of the Aerobie brand products are produced by Stanford University Engineering Instructor Alan Adler. Founded in 1984, Superflight, Inc has led the industry in "Far Flying" objects.
Fun can be found in any enviroment, but with an Aerobie product BACK UP! - Fun just reached a whole new level.

Orbiter doesn't
Our son wanted a boomerang. We bought him two. We bought him the orbiter, as well as a traditional boomerang. We saw that the unique shape of the orbiter would enhance the flight pattern. It has yet to once even come close to returning to the person who threw it. The traditional boomerang works great. I cannot in good conscience recommend the orbiter.
