The Diablo's origins can be traced all the way back to ancient china. Like today and five thousand years ago, the Diablo was used as a skillful toy. The original Diablos ("Wind spirit wheel" in Chinese) were made from bamboo and were spun and tossed.
Hundreds of years ago, the Diablo made it's way to Europe. It was enjoyed by so many people in 1920's France that it almost overtook tennis as national sport. The Diablo reigned as a toy in Germany and Holland in the 1940's and 50's and received its name Diablo.

I first saw this toy used when i went to a cirque du soleil show 'quidam.' These four little girls used them and i was amazed, they were by far the coolest toys i had ever scene. So a couple days later i went to a local toy store and bought one. I have to say that it the coolest thing ever!!!! I love this toy!
