Be one of 60 WCW superstar wrestlers including Goldberg and Sting (or create your own) as you battle your way through the ranks to the Championship Belt. Fight in all the WCW TV events including 12 Pay Per View Super-Events in WCW Mayhem. No rules apply here as you break through secret areas outside the ring and contine brawling backstage into the locker room and garage areas. With true to form wrestler entrances complete with pyrotechnics, theme music, crowd chants, wrestler taunts and full play-by-play color commentary, Mayhem puts you right into the intense action that makes the real world of WCW so popular.
"Mayhem" is probably an accurate word to describe the first wrestling game from Electronic Arts. A TV-style presentation offers such things as entrances complete with pyrotechnics and theme music, full play-by-play commentary and locales based on what you would find on Pay-Per-View. WCW Mayhem also features over 50 professional wrestlers from World Championship Wrestling, although you'll need to play through the "Quest for the Best" mode in order to unlock many of them. This mode allows gamers to choose any wrestler from the WCW and wrestle through three divisions on a quest for the TV title, the U.S. title, and eventually the WCW Heavyweight Championship!
