Description
The Hellcat can be considered the best ship born fighter used by the Allies in the 2nd World War.
Despite its squat appearance and considerable weight, it was incredibly smooth to handle - this quality combined with its sturdy structure enabled it to face the plethora of Japanese fighter models on the Pacific operations scenario.
This version of the F6 had an improved propulsion unit, structural strengthening and greater armament load including the HVAR air-to-ground rockets which, from mid-1944, were extensively used in support of landing troops.
