The F-104 was one of the first planes to break the sound barrier. At the beginning of the sixties the F-104 was built in Europe for various Nato countries such as Germany, Italy, Holland, Belgium, Denmark and Norway.
In Europe this aircraft had a controversial history due to a series of accidents. It is still in use with the Italian Air Force.
