Description
The trimotor Junkers JU52 first flew in 1930 and was one of the last in a long line of Junkers aircraft which featured a corrugated metal skin.
This feature allowed the wing and fuselage to retain their shape without a great deal of internal structure.
Initially the JU52 was used as a civilian transport, but later was employed as a troop and cargo transport by the Luftwaffe.
