About the Author: Anthony D. Fredericks grew up in Newport Beach, California, poking around in tide pools and beachcombing the ocean's edge. During summers he explored the Sierra Nevada Mountains of eastern California, and later attended school in the high deserts of Arizona. He and his wife life on a mountainside in Pennsylvania along with an assortment of critters. A former classroom teacher and reading specialist, he is currently a Professor of Education at York College in York, Pennsylvania. As the author of more than 20 children's books he is a frequent visitor to schools around the country, where he shares the wonders of nature with a new generation of naturalists.
About the Illustrator: Jennifer DiRubbio is a professional illustrator based in Merrick, New York. A supporter of numerous environmental organizations, Jennifer feels "There is beauty in everything; you just have to find it. I like to show that beauty to people so they will come to love, respect and appreciate nature as much as I do. My hope is to spark a desire to protect our natural world and all of its creatures." Under One Rock is Jennifer's first book with Dawn Publications.
