This text presents basic and clinical knowledge of adult and pediatric electrocardiography (ECG). Coverage includes pericarditis and cardiac surgery, atrial and atrioventricular rhythms, ventricular arrhythmias, effects of drugs on the ECG, and T-wave abnormalities. For this fifth edition, 27 chapters in the adult section have been totally revised, and some 1,000 references have been added. Main areas of expansion include the role of the ECG in the diagnosis and treatment of patients with ischemic heart disease, and changes in the classification and treatment of cardiac arrhythmias. The book is written by two new authors who retain original author Chou's practice of expressing opinions based on personal experience.
