A common problem with shaving is known as Pseudofolliculitis Barbae. It is better known as ingrown hair or razor bumps. What happens is that hair normally has a tapered tip; however, when you shave the tip is removed from the hair shaft and the growing hairs start feeling bristly. As the hair tip begins to re-grow, its sharpness will cause it to penetrate under the skin surrounding the follicle. Inflammation and irritation generally result from this. This is the phenomenon that causes ingrown hairs, razor bumps and irritation. Kalo Ingrown Hair Treatment combats this phenomenon by exfoliating the outer dermal layer of skin while adding elasticity to the newly exposed hair. Little by little it liberates the trapped hair from under the skin allowing it to be safely released.

I've only used it for about 3 weeks now. This product is really an in-grown hair 'treatment', and not a 'remover'.
The difference between the two is that, the treatment will expect to have the in-grown hair removed, before it starts 'treating' (protecting) your skin so that you may not have subsequent in-grown hair.
I somehow managed to get rid of my in-grown hairs using another treatment, and I am using this product to treat that area as prevention. So far I haven't seen any in-grown hairs growing in that region again, and hence, it seems like a good prevention treatment.

99.9% perfect. I'm so happy to have found Kalo - while not cheap, it is worth it. Occasionally an ingrown hair will succeed it a nasty irritation but mostly, they don't happen since finding Kalo.
