Ceramix hair straightener 
Best hair straightener I've used, and I've tried a ton. The humidity still makes my hair go a bit frizzy but it settles and looks great for most of the day/night. Worth every penny. I also looked around a lot for a cheaper price and did not find one. I'm completely satisfied.

Oh my gosh!i think i could have died. my mom said that i couldn't get a straightner because it could make my hair fall out. and she said that the one i wanted was too expensive so i went to this website and found it for $100.00 cheaper!!!! Excellent Flatiron - Excellent Service
I received my Ceramix flatiron in the mail this week, and I am very pleased with it. I have thick, wavy red hair and have been through several straightners looking for something that works. The Ceramix iron heats up quickly, works quickly - I can straighten my shoulder length hair in about 10 minutes - and leaves my hair shiny and very soft. And day two only requires a quick touch-up! The iron is great and Zooscape service was excellent!

Now there's no excuse for not getting a life
'Get out of the bathroom and enjoy your life' -- how embarrassingly true that is! I've spent a large percentage of my 50 years in the bathroom trying since I was 16 to look like Cher --uh, I mean, trying to straighten my stubbornly wavy-frizzy hair, especially that cowlick over my forehead. That's history now. Thank god somebody finally figured out how to do this. This product makes it a breeze-- my short hair (that I used to spend hours blow-drying, gelling and more blow-drying to get the effect I wanted) is ready in less than 5 minutes!

It's possible!
My friend brought home the Ceramix straightening iron from her hair salon, and I was envious how silky and smooth her hair was. Best hair straightener i've used
I've tried a regular hair straghtener, I've tried ironing my hair with a real iron, then using a hair straightener, but this iron was alot better! My hair wasn't even frizzy and the brush really smoothes it out. I love it!

It Works!
I will buy this iron for sure... and soon! I usually never buy things without trying it but anyway here's how I found out it works...
I bought the Conair Steam Straightenter and only bought me grief, frutration and annoyance. Although it made my hair straighter it didn't do me any good. It made my hair frizzy and it still had a hint of wave to it. So I figured what the heck I'm giving up on flat irons, because I thought that straightening my hair was useless.
But one day I went to my friend's house and she offered to do my hair so I agreed not knowing what to say. She used the Ceramix Straightener and I was amazed with the results for crying out loud. My hair was straight, it was silky and it was smooth. It even made my hair longer. I was especially amazed because (since I have black hair I don't have 'interesting streaks' but I have a few brown streaks though) it made my streaks stand out. I was so pleased when I went home. And when I woke up my hair was still straight!
I can't wait till I get this flat iron!!!

Wonderful!
Like several others, I had my doubts until I tried this flat iron. My hair tends to curl if I let it air-dry and blow drying makes it straighter, but also frizzy. The ceramix flat iron is perfect 'cos it makes my hair smooth and straight and doesnt burn it. The only thing I don't like is that it tends to make hair go limp faster (maybe the extra moisture). It means I have to wash my hair more often so it doesn't look all greasy and limp. Other than that, I love this little iron. I have a little longer than shoulder length hair and it takes me less than 10 min to straighten it.
Also, the hand-written thank you note was sweet!

I've bought 2 and both BROKE!
The first one I bought was back in Sept/03. It worked great at first - the plates would get extremely hot and it took only 15 minutes to straighten my wavy hair. After 9 months, it broke. The light would come on, but no heat or buzzing was coming from the iron. I took it back to the outlet store and they said basically - no receipt, sorry - can't help you. So I reluctantly bought a second one (I had to pay $30 more than the first one because it was no longer on sale). This second one, didn't even last a month. I bought in May/04 and it's now June. I made sure I kept receipt and box, however I haven't taken it back just yet. I've been searching the Internet to see if I can try to take the iron apart and get an electrician to fix it because this is just ridiculous! When you pay over $100 for something, you'd like to think you're getting a quality product. So not the case here!

Great but some problems 
this iron works really well and i have been using it everyday for 7 months, but now its been giving me problems. The little red light is still on but its not heating up, i paid $90 for this at a salon and i no longer have the reciept so i cant take it back. Sometimes when im doing my hair the buzzing noise will just stop but the light will stay on and the plates will become cold, so i dont know why others have been expeiriencing this problem but it must not be that good of quality if it stops wroking after 7 months

ok this iron really made me mad because it just stopped working today and never worked again even if the little red light was on. I cant beleive it im so mad but im gonna buy another one because i never seen one that worked so well and heats up. i have pats the shoulders-length hair and its only curly at the front (pretty ugly when it gets humid) so i got the first straightener i saw the ConAir one and i regret it bc just because its like 40$ cheaper, it started 2 damage me hair, and it doesnt even work!!!! i borrowed the BabylissPRO 1 form my friend and it REALLY worked! (even though it was a metallic plate) but i saw this cute little CERAMIC (non-damaging and hotter) straightener at Trade Secrets for only about $100 and i REALLY want it! especially after reading
all these reviews! i hope i get it b4 OR 4 christmas!!! LOL
p.s. is it true that it brakes if u drop it? because of some ions in the middle of it? hm.

READ BEFORE YOU BUY
I've had this flat iron for two years now and it's been great..until now! The plates no longer heat up, even though the red light is on. I have a feeling that it may be due to the high setting I use. I have thick wavy hair and I need to set it to the highest setting to straighten it. I think that if you have similar hair, you might want to buy a different iron that can be set to a higher heat.

Wears out... 
I've had this iron for about 2 years. During the past 6 months it has began wearing out. I would expect it to last longer seeing I paid over $300 for it at my salon. What a rip-off. They actually offer it for a good price here, but be warned, it will wear out. And it does leave your hair frizzy and dry. (And by wearing out I mean it takes several attempts to get a section of your hair straight).

NOT ALL THAT GREAT!!
I have had this hair straighner for 3 months and it already STOPPED WORKING!! Like I'm so mad since I got it as a gift I don't have the reciept and I have not been able to contact my aunt that got it for me and now I have been trying to call the company but they never pick up!! I'm SO MAD! It doesnt heat up anymore and I'M GOING TO FIND OUT A WAY TO GET IT FIXED NO MATTER WHAT!!

It's good until...
This straightener is really good. It straightens pretty well for someone who has curly hair. it turns out smooth, soft and it doesn't damage as much as other straighteners do. but what happened? all of a sudden my straightener doesn't want to heat up anymore on the plates.. the light turn on .. the handle thing gets a bit warm cuz its on a high setting but NOTHING from the plates
watta rip off .. i payed 150 $ for crap.
and from the other comments ive been reading here.. i can see that it's not just happening to me.. i better find the reciept. [Editor. Please call our Customer Service department for assistance. Was Impressed At First ...
I had my flat iron for 9 months and was totally impressed. Like others, I have very curly hair and this iron made it poker straight (along with professional straightening, mind you). I used it every day at the highest setting because of my hair type and it was great but one day it just quit working. The light was on but no heat. I was so mad because I really needed the iron. Anyway ... I am in the process of sending it back to Dannyco under the 2 year warranty and hope they will honour their product and replace it QUICKLY. I figure if you pay that much money for a product, it should work for more than 9 months. [Editor: They WILL honor the warranty! Please let us know if you have any problems, and we can assist you.]

Also Recommended: Seeing as this seems to be a common problem with the product, perhaps look for ways to improve the useage life of it or you will end up losing customers. [Editor: The current model is indeed an upgrade which addresses many of the operating issues some have had.]

Not good
I have thick wavy hair and needed a good Iron, I did some research and found this one that seem to work well. It was not bad at first but then after 5 months the darn thing won't work anymore. The light would go on but it would'nt heat up. One day it was working and then the very next day it stopped. I payed 125 for this peice of crap and now have to buy a new one... it for sure won't be from this brand again. Ladies, I'm only taking my precious time out to write a stupid review because I need to warn others that this Iron is CRAP!
