It was founded out of protest to the cruel animal testing and use of many synthetic compounds prevalent in the cosmetics industry .The Logo Ecco Bella means "Behold Beautiful" in Italian. The logo is Italian Renaissance painter, Sandro Botticelli's painting "The Birth of Venus". She is the Roman goddess of love and beauty. Ecco Bella leaves out the talc, mineral oil, FD& C dyes, animal byproducts, formaldehyde-releasing preservatives, and any harsh or unhealthy ingredients.
