Description
Pyruvate is a naturally occurring component in plants and vegetables and in the body, where it is inherently involved in metabolism, the process whereby energy is produced. Pyruvate represents the final step in the metabolism of glucose or starch before energy is produced. A study at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine demonstrated that dietary supplementation with Pyruvate increased fat loss with minimal loss in body protein. Pyruvate supplementation has been extensively studied by prestigious researchers with their studies published in highly regarded scientific journals.
Human clinical trials demonstrated Pyruvate supplementation increases weight loss by 37% and fat loss by 48%. Pyruvate has also been shown to increase athletic endurance and performance by as much as 50%. Scientists have speculated these physiological effects may be due to increased cellular metabolism with Pyruvate supplementation. The body may also be metabolizing the fat instead of glucose, thereby reducing fat deposits. Calcium has been added to this compound to increase its stability.

If the diet is not properly balanced, that is, if it fails to supply adequate amounts of the essential Amino Acids, physical disorders will eventually develop.
