PLANT NAME (Botanical name): CINNAMON LEAF (Cinnamomum zeylanicum)
Geographical source: Indonesia, Ceylon
Used to flavor spiced fruits, baked goods, pickles and candy. The flavor and aroma are more reminiscent of cloves than cinnamon. It provides a hot, spicy and somewhat bitter flavor.
