Hydroxycitric is a food derivative, under the brand name, Citrimax. It is taken from the small pumpkin-shaped fruit of the Garcinia cambogia tree of South Asia. Hydroxycitric acid is an active agent that aids in safe weight loss.
How does hydroxycitric acid work? Normally the body converts the carbohydrates from meals and snacks that cannot be used immediately for energy into glycogen. Glycogen is the storage form of carbohydrates, deposited in muscles and the liver. When the glycogen stores are reasonably full, additional carbohydrates are then converted into body fat. Hydroxycitric acid blocks up to 70% of the conversion of carbohydrates into fat, thus helping to prevent added fat storage on the body. Thus, carbohydrates are accommodated as more glycogen in the liver. This added glycogen load in the liver stimulates a longer lasting neuro-signal from the liver to the brain of satisfaction, thus helping to suppress appetite longer. Some researchers think hydroxycitric acid may facilitate the burning of already stored body fat.
Independent laboratory analysis using the highly accurate HPLC methodshows that CitriMax contains the highest concentrations of (-)hydroxycitric acid (HCA) available as a dietary supplement.
Though hard to believe, using 1 to 2 tablespoons of flaxseed oil daily, will also favour your weight reduction by facilitating more fat metabolism.

Directions
Take 1-2 capsules 3 times per day, preferably 1/2 hour before meals or as directed by a physician.
Using 1.5 to 3 grams per day, 30 to 60 minutes before meals over time will assist in weight reduction.
Exercise and a modest calorie reduction is still needed.
