This digital cooking thermometer with probe cooks meats according to your taste level - from rare to well done - without the guesswork. Simply insert the stainless steel probe into your meat, attach the probe to the base unit located outside the oven or barbecue, and program to your preferred temperature. The large LCD readout displays the inner temperature of the food during cooking. A loud alarm sounds when the inner temperature is met, and high/low and "inside the range" temperature alerts can also be programmed. A 24-hour countdown or countup timer operates independently of the thermometer, and a clock displays the time in your choice of 12 or 24 hour settings.<BR>Range of 14 - 392°F/-10 - 200C.<BR>Probe wire is 39" long.
