Amazon.com Product Review "The watch can be worn on the wrist during any hard sports ... during motorcross, chain saw operation, rock drill operation, and so on." This, from page 2 of the Casio User's Guide, pretty much sums up the G-Shock line of watches. When Casio launched G-Shock (the g stands for gravity) in 1983, the idea was to create an unbreakable watch, which, judging from the appearance of this formidable looking timepiece, is exactly what they've done. This G-Shock is as thick as your finger and includes all the usual sport features--stopwatch and split times, backlight, alarm, and countdown timer. The watch's calendar comes preprogrammed through 2039. The three small dials lined up across the top of the face are more stylish than functional: when in stopwatch or timer modes, they illuminate in chronometer fashion to indicate various fractions and multiples of a second. Whether you're breaking rocks, snowboarding, or just going for a walk, the Casio G-Shock should be ticking no matter how hard you work or play. Comes with a rugged, thick black-plastic watchband and a two-year battery. --Harry C. Edwards |
