Licorice is an expectorant and anti-inflammatory herb making it excellent for lung infections and conditions of the respiratory tract. It also has the ability to boost the positive effects of cortisone, a commonly prescribed asthma drug, while suppressing or delaying some of the negative side effects of cortisone.
The bioflavonoids present in scullcap are believed to be responsible for its anti-inflammatory properties, making it a useful addition to any herbal blend targeting asthma.

This is a question best answered by your healthcare provider. Any herb has the potential to react favorably or unfavorably with specific medications. It may be that dosages of either the herbs or medications need minor adjustments to offset certain effects. This is why it is especially important for anyone on medications to check first with a healthcare provider or a knowledgeable pharmacist before taking herbal supplements - particularly blended ones.
Heart and blood pressure medications, birth control pills, diabetes and steroid medications, as well as estrogen replacement products may all have adverse health effects if taken simultaneously with licorice root. Herbs like scullcap should not be taken with immune suppressant drugs like cyclosporine. Taking non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs like diclofenac may increase the need for stinging nettle. There doesn't appear to be any documented drug interactions where acerola is concerned.
Directions
Take 1 capsule, 3 times daily, with meals.
