Description
You probably use flaxseed even if you don't know it. Fiber made from this plant's stems are spun into linen. The seeds are pressed to produce linseed oil. A slender plant with delicate blue flowers, flax is widely cultivated. The small brown seeds and their oil are also used medicinally.
Potential Health Benefits
Flaxseed is used to treat chronic constipation, irritable colon, diverticulitis, and colons damaged by abusing commercial laxatives. Assertions by researchers that flaxseed (or linseed oil) protects against some cancers and eases menstrual discomfort weren't addressed by Commission E. Flax preparations can soothe irritations when rubbed on the skin.
Scientific Evidence
Flaxseed contains fiber and fatty oil with 52-76 percent linolenic acid esters. A University of Toronto study found that flaxseed fed to animals for seven weeks reduced the size of tumors by more than half The same study found that an ingredient in flaxseed, called lignan, seemed to block the creation of new tumors. According to the Prevention magazine book Nature's Medicines, "Many plants have some lignan, but flaxseed has at least 75 times more than almost any other plant."

While flaxseed can soothe inflammations and irritations of the respiratory tract, I would not suggest this as being the best herbal product to take in instances of asthma. We do, however, carry several products that would be recommended for this condition.

Does flax seed oil have any rejuvenation for nerve damage or the healing properties of nerve damage from cervical surgery.
If flax seed doesn't help that problem could you leed me on to a product that would help.

While flaxseed oil is an excellent source of essential fatty acids and is beneficial in lowering cholesterol levels, I have not encountered any documented evidence suggesting it is useful for nerve regeneration.
In 2001, studies were conducted on mice at SUNY Upstate Medical University in New York and a group of five common herbs were tested for their neuroimmunological effects. Results concluded that milk thistle helped nerves to grow neurites (nerve branches) and prolonged the life of nerve cells. The details of the study can be found here.
These results came as somewhat of a surprise considering that milk thistle has firmly established a solid reputation for being one of the best herbs for the liver known to man; the fact that it may be able to regenerate nerves as well as liver cells makes this herb all the more remarkable.
Directions
Take 1 capsule, 3 times daily, with meals.
Cautions
The absorption of drugs could be weakened by using flaxseed.
