Description
Birch Leaf is an herbal medicine used to increase urinary output (more urine), for urinary tract infections, digestive tract, edema and kidney stones. In folk medicine, birch is in use against arthritis and rheumatism and against loss of hair and skin rashes. It promotes slight sweating and is mildly diuretic. It is used for cystitis or other inflammations of the urinary tract, rheumatic pain, arthritis, painful and sore joints. It is also used as a spring tonic.
