A couple key studies support the recommendation of vitamin E supplementation in the fight against bladder cancer and heart disease:
Results of a study relased by the American Cancer Society invloving 1,000,000 American participants revealed that vitamin E supplementation for ten years was assoicated with reduced risk of death from bladder cancer. Vitamin C supplementation did not yield such positive results with this particular condition. A Finnish study from 1994 demonstrated how increased intake of vitamin E was associated with decreased mortality rates from heart disease. These findings are consistent with the decades of research conducted by two Canadian doctors, brothers Wilfred and Evan Shute, who successfully treated over 30,000 patients with high doses of natural vitamin E. Their book, The Vitamin E Story, was endorsed by well known Nobel prize winner and Vitamin C guru, Linus Pauling, who wrote the foreward for their book.
