I have purchased hops pills and liquid hops both for problems with sleeping and tension as well as bloating. I would like to know what to use the ointment for, or if its necessary once you are taking pills or liquid.

When applied externally, Hops aids in restoring the normal balance of the skin. Hops helps to alleviate hot, sensitive inflammations on the face and body as well as softens dry, scaly skin on the feet where it can be used regularly to maintain skin integrity.
In your particular case, as you are using Hops to treat insomina and tension, it would not be necessary for you to use a topical application as well as the external use of this herb is recommended for conditions other than those you have described.
Directions
Apply Bianca Rosa salve/ointment morning and evenings, or as directed by a health care practitioner. On a moist cotton wool pad or with the fingertips, apply to the desired area of the body. Massage onto thoroughly cleansed skin with a gentle circular motion.
Cautions
Not to be used during pregnancy and lactation. Do not exceed recommended dose.
