Description

White Dead Nettle is an herbal medicine used on the skin for mild redness and soreness. It is used by mouth for dissolving phlegm during a cold, or for stomach complaints such as gas or upset stomach. It has also been used for menopausal disorders.

Nettle has diuretic, cleansing, antihistimaine and anti-inflammatory properties. Consider using nettle for hay fever, arthritis and rheumatism, anemia and weak blood, cystitis and water retention, and gout. The rhizomes are increasingly used to reduce prostate inflammation and improve symptoms like painful urination that occur with benign prostate hyperplasia (BPH).

Other names for White Dead Nettle include: Laminium album, archangel, Oleisse Taubnesselblueten, and fleurs d'ortie blance.
