Additional Information
Natural Care Since 1860
In 1860, a young pharmacist and student of Samuel Hahnemann, Ernst Louis Ambrecht, came to London and opened a homeopathic pharmacy in Ryder Street where he could put into practice the principles learned from his teacher. The pharmacy soon outgrew its original premises and in 1890 it was moved to Duke Street where it still remains today supplying homeopathic medicines to customers all over the world. Ernst's son Nelson, who changed the name of the company to A. Nelson and Comapany succeeded him. As its reputation has grown, so has the demand for its products. As Europe's oldest and the UK's largest manufacturer of homeopathic medicines, Nelsons now produces the most comprehensive range in Britain from its specialized manufacturing laboratories in Wimbledon.
As an easy first step in to homeopathy and natural products, Nelsons provide an extensive range of homeopathic creams and gels with the aim of providing a natural complement to allopathic creams while making homeopathy accessible to all. These topical herbal remedies cover common skin conditions and gentle first aid solutions.

The essence of the current American rule on Traditional Uses is, as stated by FTC, "Claims based on historical or traditional use should be substantiated by confirming scientific evidence, or should be presented in such a way that consumers understand that the sole basis for the claim is a history of use of the product for a particular purpose."
