Depo-Provera, also referred to as Medroxyprogesterone, is a semisynthetic compound that differs in structure from the naturally occurring human hormone progesterone. It is added to estrogen replacement therapy to prevent uterine cancer caused by unopposed estrogen. It is also used to treat absence of menstrual bleeding (amenorrhea) and abnormal menstrual bleeding. Medroxyprogesterone is available alone and in a combination product. An injection product is used for contraception.
I have found studies to suggest that there are some supplements you should not consider taking while on Depo-Provera. Although these ingredients are not included in Internal Flush, I did think it may be helpful for you to have this information for your future reference.
Vitamin A and folic acid
In a one-year study of predominantly malnourished women in India and Thailand, medroxyprogesterone used for contraception was associated with increased blood levels of vitamin A and folic acid. The clinical meaning of these changes remains unclear.
Zinc and magnesium
In a group of 37 postmenopausal women treated with conjugated estrogens and medroxyprogesterone for 12 months, urinary zinc and magnesium loss was reduced in those women who began the study with signs of osteoporosis and elevated zinc and magnesium excretion. The clinical significance of this interaction remains unclear.
Vitamin D
In a study of postmenopausal women, treatment with estrogen alone increased vitamin D blood levels, whereas estrogen plus medroxyprogesterone lowered vitamin D back to the level seen without estrogen use. This outcome might suggest that medroxyprogesterone interferes with beneficial effects estrogen may have on vitamin D metabolism and vitamin D supplementation would be called for. However, some research has not found the addition of vitamin D to estrogen/progestin combinations to be helpful. Therefore, while many doctors recommend 400 IU vitamin D to women taking estrogen/progestin combination hormone products, the efficacy of such supplementation has not been proven.

No effect so far
I have been using the product for a week with no effects, positive or negative. More gas than usual but no ill effects. I have suddenly started waking up early though and feel run down by supper. I'll finish the bottle but don't think I'll be seeing any results.

Wonderful
I tried this product last summer for a month and then stopped. Boy was that dumb. I got back on it just a day ago and have already noticed less bloating. I have been on it for a week and so far I have only notice more frequent bowel movements and feeling gassy. I haven't noticed any weight loss but I will finish the bottle before I give final judgement. I would recommend it as a gentle laxative.

safe and great product
I have used this product once in the past about 5 years ago - weight loss was tremendous. Felt light, energized, on top of the world. Then a health store provider told me that this is a cleansing product only and that it was not meant for long-term use, or your body will become dependent on it, bowel-movement wise. So i stopped it, becsue I did not want to be dependant on anything for elimination. Recently I took out some photos and saw that I needed to do something in terms of weight-loss. I am fifty so I am into the menopausal stage, which slows down everything that has to do with weight loss. I was in the pharmaccy last week, saw this product and decided this might be a good way to go. I have started it 3 days ago, I only took one, and the next day I felt the difference. I felt lighter right away, difference in bloatedness, lighter on my feet.
Great product, will certainly recommend it.

dont know yet
i have been using this product for 5 days now. i have been making more bowel movments like 3 x's a day but it is not much thats coming and the oder is ill. my stomach feels hard and bloated. maybe i just have to get used to it but no weight loss yet so i dont know yet. i will just follow up a little bit down the line and keep everyone posted on this web site.
