Bilberry Leaf, commonly taken for eye health, supports and strengthens collagen structures and has anti-inflammatory properties. This effect is further enhanced by the addition of Butcher's Broom, a known herbal remedy for arthritis. Elder flower is traditionally used for its cooling effect in acute infections with fever. It is also used to reduce catarrh in blocked noses, sinusitis and hayfever. Some accounts have suggested effectiveness for rheumatoid arthritis, as well. The European commission recommends Meadowsweet as supportive treatment in chills, colds etc. and externally for rheumatic conditions of the joints and muscles, bruises, strains and sprains. Additional herbs in R-A Formula Tea include Horsetail, Licorice Root, and Soapwort Root.

Fresh drawn, boiling water contains the most oxygen, thereby giving the fullest taste to tea. Water that has been boiling for some time looses the oxygen and thereby the best taste.
Allow full expansion during the infusion and easy removal after the time for steeping has elapsed.
Draw into a tea pot or kettle the best fresh water that you have available.
Warm the teapot and cups while the water is boiling.
Before taking Butcher's Broom, consult your health professional if you have a history of high blood pressure, heart disease or kidney disease.
Horsetail should not be used by persons with cardiac or renal dysfunction. Avoid long-term use.
Licorice is not for use during pregnancy or nursing. Avoid prolonged use unless supervised by qualified health professional. Extended use may cause hypertension, edema, headache, vertigo and potassium depletion. Avoid if suffering from hypertension, hypokalemia, edema, cirrhosis of the liver, cholestatic liver disorders, diabetes, or on heart medication. Consult health professional before use
