Description
The young leaves and shoots of this plant have been eaten since at least the 8th century BC. The plant's many uses gave rise to the Spanish adage, "A kitchen garden and mallow, sufficient medicines for a home." The flowers and leaves are emollient and good for sensitive areas of the skin. It is applied as a poultice to reduce swelling and draw out toxins. Taken internally, the leaves reduce gut irritation and have a laxative effect. When common mallow is combined with eucalyptus (Eucalyptus globulus), it makes a good remedy for coughs and other chest ailments.
It's main healing properties include: anti-inflammatory, emollient, astringent, laxative.

Malva verticillata, is an annual or biennial herb in the mallow family, and is readily found across North America. Growing to six feet tall, it self-sows vigorously and behaves more like a perennial that reliably makes an appearance every year.
Malva verticillata can often be found in many weight loss and cleansing formulas, and it does act as a mild laxative having a soothing effect on the intestinal tract. This herb may actually benefit the liver and kidneys as a result of its purgative actions. As with most laxative herbs, it should not be taken on a regular basis as dependency may result.
Directions
Fresh drawn, boiling water contains the most oxygen, thereby giving the fullest taste to tea. Water that has been boiling for some time looses the oxygen and thereby the best taste.
Allow full expansion during the infusion and easy removal after the time for steeping has elapsed.
Draw into a tea pot or kettle the best fresh water that you have available.
Warm the teapot and cups while the water is boiling.

Miracle Malva Tea
My 85 year old father-in-law suffered terribly from constipation. Years ago, he developed a dependence on chemical laxitives, so going back to them was out of the question. After having surgery for impaction/bowel obstruction, we knew we had to do something and soon.
Then, miraculously, I found your Malva tea. One cup every evening before bed and the problem was solved, quickly, painlessly, and naturally. And as a bonus, it's by far the most cost efficient. I can't thank you enough for such a wonderful product. This should be a fixture in every nursing home and hospital across the nation.
