Description
This is a popular remedy for sinus infections, cold and flu, because of its soothing action on inflamed mucous membranes and actions in countering infections and boosting the immune system. It is anti-bacterial, antibiotic, improves digestion, regulates menses and reduces uterine bleeding, reduces blood pressure and stimulates the central nervous system. Goldenseal promotes healthy colon, liver, pancreas, spleen, lymphatic and respiratory function. It is used to treat inflammation, ulcers, infectious disease and disorders of the bladder, prostate, stomach and vagina. This herb contains albumin, berberine, biotin, candinene, chlorine, calcium, choline, chologenic acid, fats, hydrastine, inositol, iron, manganese, PABA, phosphorus, potassium, resin, starch, sugar, volatile and essential oils, vitamin A, B-complex, C and E.
