First of all, it can be dangerous to self-diagnose. You should consult your healthcare practitioner to make sure that bronchitis is the correct diagnosis - especially with the accompanying fever and mucous discharge.
If the condition is, in fact, bronchitis, and nothing more nefarious, there are some herbs and supplements that may benefit you. Keep in mind that your health care practitioner should OK these herbs/supplements in case there may be negative interactions with your current medications. Astragalus has been used for centuries for disorders of the respiratory tract, including bronchitis. For chronic bronchitis, 200 mg to 500 mg a day would be an appropriate dosage.
Thyme, eucalyptus and licorice have also been used to treat bronchitis, however licorice root may not combine well with your blood pressure medication. Vitamins A, C (very important!), and E would be benficial as would N-acetyl cysteine which has out-performed the placebo in a study of 1,400 individuals with chronic smoking-related bronchitis.

I have searched the web for my root. I found it at Zoo Scape for the best price and size. I placed my order and recieved it a lot quicker than I expected. As for the product, I have used the root during the past few winters. I was the only one in the house that was not sick with the flu one year. It works for me.

Astralagus Root Worked for Me!
To treat a bad bronchial cough left-over from the flu, I took Dr. Andrew Weil's suggestion and started taking (1) 450 mg. capsule, (3) times/day.
Echincacea/Golden Seal wouldn't begin to touch this cough, but Astralagus has GREATLY reduced my symptoms. I have taken your Astralagus Root for approximately (3) weeks, and will continue to do so, until flu season has passed. (Per Dr. Weil's recommendation).
Thank you for offering such a fine product, and thank you for your excellent service and good manners!
As 'Arnold' said, 'I'll be back!'

astralagus root - 450 mg.
On advice of Dr. Andrew Weil, I have been using Astralagus Root 450 mg. for two years. I have NOT had any infections, colds or flu since taking Astralagus. Believe me, it is good 'insurance' and I would certainly recommend adding it to your daily regimen, particularly if you have a compromised immune system.
