Vitex, or chaste tree berry, is a popular herb in Europe, where it is used to balance hormone levels. It addresses luteal phase defect, a common cause of menstrual abnormalities resulting in an increased ratio of estrogen to progesterone. Common symptoms of luteal phase abnormalities are heavy periods, abnormally frequent periods, a lack of menstruation, PMS and breast pain during the menstrual cycle. Vitex has also been studied for its effects in treating infertility.

I have had irregular periods all my life. In the past few years it has pretty much disappeared completely. I've been to the doctors many times, and they tell me I have Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome, which is (in english) just an absense of a period. I thought it had something to do with cysts but it doesn't. The doctor prescribed me Medroxy Progesterone, which would give me a period, with no ovulation (you need to have at least 3 or 4 periods a year for reasons of preventing cancers and cleaning yourself out). Now this is fine but it doesn't help if you want to have a baby.
So I went on the internet and try to find if there was any natural way I could get my period back with ovulation. It didn't take me long to find Vitex. This herb has 3 names, Vitex, Agnus Cactus, and Chaste Tree Berry, I'm not sure if I spelled all those right. Anyways, I immediatly went to the store and purchased a bottle 450mg 100 capsules. I really didn't think this would work but it wouldn't hurt to try. I took 3 capules a day, and within 3 weeks I had a period, with ovulation. I didn't take them during the 5 or 6 days I was on my period (I read somewhere that it was good to give your body a break from them during the days you are mestruating.
So i've been ordering them from ZooScape ever since. BUT there is one more thing I would like to say. After using Vitex for about 2 years and having a period every month, they stopped working. Now I don't know if it is something that is wrong with me or if I've just grown immune to them but I stopped having a period again. So, I took a long break from them (went back to using the Medroxy Progesterone. I have just started taking them again but now I have increased it to 4 a day, and I'll see what happens.
For me Vitex was incredible. It allowed me to ovualate and get pregnant without having to use fertility drugs.

I'll try this product instead of taking Dostinex tab, I'm not yet sure that what I'm doing is smart, but I'll try and let you know. If you have some response from women who took it to reduce Prolectin I'll be very happy to read it.

Before this product I had the worst pains in the world when that time of the month came around. The pains were so bad I could barely move for about two days. But know went this product I can't even tell when it comes on. No cramps, no breast tenderness, and Aunt flow only hangs around for about 3 days. This product is the best thing for women TRUST ME!!!!

Great for PCOS!
