Description
A source of calcium in the citrate form for optimum absorption. Ideal for women with osteoporosis or at risk of osteoporosis since it can be absorbed better than calcium carbonate. Many post-menopausal women produce inadequate amounts of hydrochloric acid in the stomach, making it difficult for them to absorb calcium if they supplement with calcium carbonate. Calcium citrate is more easily absorbed even when stomach acid is inadequate.
