Yes, it will, in fact, the German E Commission approved the use of brewer's yeast for loss of appetite. Side effects are minimal (migraines and gas on very rare occasions have been documented), but you should consult your healthcare practitioner before taking it. Generally, if you're starting out, 1 tablespoon dissolved in water or juice is a good start. Then you can increase the dosage, if no side effects are experienced, to up to 4 tablespoons per day. Of course, if you experience any symptoms of an allergic reaction like breathing difficulties or rashes, you should discontinue use. Brewer's yeast is rich in protein, vitamin B, amino acids, and minerals like chromium which helps insulin regulate blood sugar levels.
As a dietary supplement, take three tablets three times daily to supply vitamins and minerals, plus other nutritional factors naturally occurring in brewer's yeast.
Due to the high amount of phosphorous in Brewers Yeast, it is not recommended for those with osteoporosis.
