I have had Atopic Dermatitis for a number of years. The symtoms are inflamed spots on the face, or limbs, with flaking dry skin. In my case, probably typical, seborrhea is common. Stress and bright sun
seem to exacerbate the condition. The standard treatment is topical steroid ointment or drops, a fairly effective approach. But this never seemed to eliminate the condition in my case.
I have read in the medical literature about EFA's and their role as anti-
inflammatories. So I tried the Black Currant Oil. It has been totally effective in eliminating the dermatitis.
Just to make sure it was not a placebo effect, I stopped for a couple of weeks. The dermatitis quickly returned. So I am back on the capsules again.
