    Description

    Promotes vitality and strength
  • Nourishes and rejuvenates the tissues
  • Promotes vitality and strength
  • General adaptogen for combating stress
  • Supports healthy libido
  • Calms the mind and promotes relaxation

Ashwagandha is a rejuvenative that helps maintain proper nourishment of the tissues, particularly muscle and bone, while supporting the proper function of the adrenals and male reproductive system. Used by both men and women, it acts to calm the mind and promote sound, restful sleep. Ashwagandha works as an adaptogen, promoting the body's ability to maintain homeostasis and resist stress. It prevents or minimizes imbalances that may lead to disease, whether from poor diet, lack of sleep, mental or physical strain, or chemical toxins in the environment. It has also been used for centuries to increase libido and potency, for it is said to bestow upon its user the vitality and strength of a horse.

Questionwhat is effect to reduce over weight and can we use it for memory also? how and when can fresh leaves be used for the above purpose?

The ability of ashwagandha to stimulate the thyroid (in laboratory animals, anyway) makes this supplement useful for any thyroid-related weight gain. These studies used ashwagandha plant extract which would have a higher concentration of the active ingredient as compared to parts of the whole ashwaghanda plant. However, while plant extracts isolate the potent 'Withanolides' in the plant, and are extremely effective due to their concentration, ground root (most commonly used part) of a fresh plant is far superior to that of its dried supplement counterpart.

The memory-improving effects of ashwagandha extract have been observed in both animals and humans. Ashwagandha seems to be a very impressive overall body tonic, acting like an adaptogen (protecting body from emotional, physical, and environmental stresses) much like panax ginseng. It is rich in iron and amino acids, and it is being studied for potential benefits ranging from opiate addiction to Alzheimer's Disease.
