Niacinamide is generally considered to be safe to take, although in rare cases, liver problems have occurred at doses in excess of 1,000mg per day.
Niacin, when taken in dosages as low as 50-100 mg, may cause flushing, headaches, and stomachaches in some people. Sometimes, doctors prescribe niacin for certain health concerns in amountsas high as 3,000 mg per day.
