Malic Acid and Magnesium Hydroxide
Several studies have shown that significant relief from symptoms associated with fibromyalgia may be achieved by supplementing daily with Malic Acid 1200mg and Magnesium Hydroxide 300mg. Fibromyalgia is a rheumatic disorder which is most common in middle-aged women. The most prominent symptom of the disorder is chronic muscular pain, commonly affecting the lower back, shoulders, upper chest and back of the head. Although the etiology of this disorder is not known, several studies suggested problems with the immune system or the production of energy in many cells in the body. Malic acid is an important component involved in the reaction producing energy. Patients suffering from fibromyalgia display hypoxia in their muscles resulting in low energy / pain in the muscles. This condition may be reversed by supplementing with malic acid.
Magnesium is needed for proper functioning of all muscles and deficiencies are common in individuals withfibromyalgia. Both malic acid and magnesium are involved in energy production in cells and work synergistically to improve the symptoms of fibromyalgia, possibly within 48 hours.
