An Asian study from 1997 demonstrated how B5 supplementation was more effective than Accutane in the treatment of acne. Obviously, as with most studies, it is not without its share of criticism despite glowing results, and the details of the study can be found here. The article mentions the dosages used in the trials as well as the RDA values approved by the FDA. Generally, higher-than-normal doses of B5 (up to 10 grams) are used for this application, but there doesn't seem to be any serious side effects domcumented.
