Allergy reactions with flu-like symptoms_weakness, trembling, aching muscles, droopy-looking eyes, and chills along the spine_may indicate a need for this remedy. Headaches in the back of the head and involving the muscles of the neck are common. A person who needs this remedy may seem ill and weak with a feeling of internal shakiness. Being under pressure to perform (exams, public speaking, etc.) or hearing distressing news often makes the person worse.
Anxiety
Feelings of weakness, trembling, and mental dullness (being "paralyzed by fear") suggest a need for this remedy. It is often helpful when a person has stage-fright about a public performance or interview, or feels anxious before a test, a visit to the dentist, or any stressful event. Chills, perspiration, diarrhea, and headaches will often occur with nervousness. Fear of crowds, a fear of falling, and even a fear that the heart might stop are other indications for Gelsemium.
Chemotherapy support
This remedy is often helpful when a person feels ill from anxiety or nervous anticipation of a stressful event or outcome. Weakness and trembling may occur, and the person may have chills and headache.
Dental support
This remedy can help to ease the apprehension and anxiety that often precede a visit to the dentist. The person may tremble and feel weak from dread, develop a headache (in the back of the head and the muscles of the neck), or feel mentally dull and lethargic.
Diarrhea
This remedy is often indicated if trembling and weakness accompany diarrhea, especially when nervousness, fear, or emotional upset is the cause. Gelsemium is also useful during flu with diarrhea, droopy lethargy, fever, chills, and headache.
Hay fever
A tired, droopy feeling during allergies with a flushed and heavy-feeling face suggest a need for this remedy. A sensation of dryness or of swollen membranes may be felt inside the nose - or the nose may run with irritating watery discharge, with the person sneezing frequently. Aching in the back of the head and neck, a trembling feeling, and chills along the spine are often seen when a person needs Gelsemium.
Influenza
Symptoms of fatigue and achiness that come on gradually, increasing over several days, may indicate a need for this remedy. The face feels heavy, with droopy eyes and aching. A headache may begin at the back of the neck and skull, and the person may feel chills and heat running up and down the spine. Anxiety, trembling, dizziness, perspiration, and moderate fever are other indications for Gelsemium.
Measles
A drowsy, lethargic feeling with fever, droopy eyes, and shaking chills running up and down the spine are strong indications for this remedy. The rash is itchy, hot, and dry. A headache that begins in the back of the head and neck is often seen when Gelsemium is needed.
Migraines
When this remedy is indicated, the person feels weak and lethargic, with a heavy feeling in the face and eyes, and droopy eyes with diminished vision. Pain may be mostly felt in the back of the head and muscles of the neck. The person may tremble, and sometimes heat or chills run up and down the spine. Pain often is relieved by urinating. Worry, fear, or dread of a stressful event may precipitate a headache.

Directions
Select the remedy that most closely matches the symptoms. In conditions where self-treatment is appropriate, unless otherwise directed by a physician, a lower potency (6X, 6C, 12X, 12C, 30X, or 30C) should be used. In addition, instructions for use are usually printed on the label.
Many homeopathic physicians suggest that remedies be used as follows: Take one dose and wait for a response. If improvement is seen, continue to wait and let the remedy work. If improvement lags significantly or has clearly stopped, another dose may be taken. The frequency of dosage varies with the condition and the individual. Sometimes a dose may be required several times an hour; other times a dose may be indicated several times a day; and in some situations, one dose per day (or less) can be sufficient.
If no response is seen within a reasonable amount of time, select a different remedy.
Take 3 pellets 3 times a day.
Homeopathic medicines are safe and remarkably free from side effects. Your condition, however may require special care, so please observe the following: Do not take this product for pain for more than 10 days(adults) or 5 days(children) unless directed by a doctor. Cautions
In order to maintain the potency and freshness of these products, it is very important to store them properly. They need protection against light, high temperatures and humidity, and, after use, are best stored in a small kit or bag.
Avoid opening a tube or any other container of homeopathic medication in a room where perfumes or strong odors are present. And, needless to say, keep them away from any cigarette smoke.
Additional Information
Homeopathy is a medical system based on the belief that illness can be cured by taking a minute dose of a substance that, if taken by a healthy person, would produce symptoms like those being treated.
