Essiac is an herbal supplement developed by Canadian nurse Rene Caisse (1888-1978). The herbal tea formula was given to Caisse in 1922 by a hospital patient who received it from an Ontario Native Indian. Caisse modified the Indian formula, named it Essiac (her name spelled backwards), and the rest is history!

Where is the liquid form of this Essiac??? I have purchased it from you many times and am trying to get some for a friend also and feel the liwuid is much easier to deal with (even though the powder form that you must brew is much cheaper ).

Directions
DIRECTIONS FOR USE: One unit (approx 1.5 oz / 43 gms) of ESSIAC, the original proprietary herbal formula, makes approx. 72 fl oz (2 liters) of ESSIAC. Store unopened units in a cool dry place (refrigerator).
PREPARATION BY DECOCTION: 1. Add one unit of ESSIAC to 88 fl oz (approx. 2.5 liters) of water in a covered vessel. Use filtered, distilled or spring water. Use stainless steel or glassware. Do not use an aluminum vessel. 2. Bring to a boil and then reduce to a simmer for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally. Keep covered during this process. 3. Remove from heat, keep covered and let stand for 4 hours to increase potency. 4. Bring to a boil again and then reduce to a simmer for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally. Keep covered during this process. 5. Remove from heat. Scald, or dishwasher clean, a tall narrow container and pour in the ESSIAC. Cover, refrigerate and let stand overnight to increase potency. A small amount of sediment may be present in the final ESSIAC liquid. Keep refrigerated. Do not freeze or microwave. 6. ESSIAC is an herbal supplement that contains no additives or preservatives. The botanicals used in ESSIAC have not been treated with herbicides or pesticides.
SUGGESTED USE: - Not to be taken during pregnancy or by nursing mothers. - Take one hour before meals. - Shake gently before use. - Drink 2-4 fl oz (60-120 ml) twice daily. - Drink cold or at room temperature. - Keep out of reach of children.
Take 2-4 fl oz (60-120 mL) twice daily for 12 weeks. Makes approximately 72 oz/2 L of Essiac proprietary formula.

Burdock Root, Sheep Sorrel, Slippery Elm, Indian Rhubarb Root.
Contains no artificial flavor or coloring. The herbs are grown without the use of herbicides or pesticides. Contains no preservatives.

Essiac and Supplier
I have been through colon surgery and prostate cancer, chemotherapy, radiation, and follow-up chemotherapy - and now I have metastatic colon cancer in two places. I am back on the front lines. I don't know if Essiac makes a difference or not. My wife believes it does ... and that's good enough for me. More importantly, this appears to be an excellent supplier. See 'Other Recommendations.'

When my wife finished up chemotherapy, radiation and surgery the doctors thought it would be back very soon. So far it has been 2 years and she is very healthy and cancer free.

I want to thank Essiac herbal for their tea.
I had colon cancer and started to take the tea four months before I knew I had cancer. When I found out I had cancer I continued. The Dr. got all the cancer, I am still taking it as my cancer Dr. told me to stay on it and I am still on it. It has been 5 years now and no cancer.
My brother had prostrate cancer and bone cancer he has also been taking it. Everytime the Dr. would tell him he had cancer some place out he would take the tea 4 times a day [2oz] each time. My brother broke his hip and the Dr. said there was a large mass in the hip. His PSA was 22 after the operation it went down to 6. The mass was cancer - he is doing much better thanks to the Essiac herbal tea.
Another brother had a round bunch on his back which the Dr. said was cancer so he had his wife take and warm some of the tea up and put it on his back. He would put a plastic wrap over it and leave it on all day. He healed the cancer on his back and the Dr. couldn't get over it.
You see out of 15 children 10 of us had cancer.

Very Pleased
I drink 8 oz of the Essiac tea a day and am very pleased with the results thus far. I am taking the Essaic because I have cancer and my cancer is shrinking, but we (doctors and myself) aren't sure if it's the chemo, my herbal supplements and diet or the tea. At any rate, I am doing good and it can't hurt!

Lymphoma, treated with Chemotherapy
My finance was diagnosed with Large B-cell Lymphoma confined to the Liver and Spleen about two months ago. The doctor prescribed a round of Chemotherapy (6 treatments, every 3-4 weeks). Remarkably, he had no objection to our seeking other remedies along with the chemo.
I heard of essiac from my mother. Her Aunt and Uncle have been using it as a preventative, as cancer tends to run in the family.
My fiance started taking it about three weeks ago. On Monday he had his second chemo treatment. On Tuesday, instead of being confined to his bed with nausea, he was up, energetic - in short, practically healthier than he's been in weeks.

it's my reaction to Essiac after using it for only 3 weeks. so, it's not my conclusion.
i am trying Essiac as my breast cancer treatment. (surgery operated 3 weeks ago.) it seems like i'm producing lots of gas in my bowel. (taking 60cc of Essiac x 2 times a day, morning and night, after each meal.) it is helping my bowel movement, alright, however, sometimes i feel it's too much, and a little unpleasant.
planning on continue taking Essiac during my radiation, for the next 30 + days, at least.
just wanted to know whether it is common to have such kind of bowel movement, also whether it is OK to have it.
