Description
Acidophilus with Bifidus is a combination of friendly lactic acid bacteria that colonize the intestinal tract for better digestive health. Acidophilus produces lactic acid that keeps a proper pH balance in the small intestine, slowing the growth of yeast. Studies show that L. acidophilus helps reduce lactose intolerance, inhibits undesirable organisms in the intestine, reduces cholesterol levels and controls diarrhea. Bifidus helps maintain health of the large intestine in both children and adults, promoting regular bowel movements, protecting from yeast and bacteria such as E.coli, Clostridium and Shigella infections.
Acidophilus with Bifidus adds Enterococcus faecium to their superior formula. Many European probiotic products contain E. faecium, a friendly bacteria that is stable, resistant to heat and inhibits the growth of a large number of pathogens.
These capsules are Enteric Coated to allow the bacteria to pass through the harsh stomach acids and release the micro organisms in the intestines.
Bifidus is the major culture in infants and adolescent and is somewhat reduced in adults. It helps to restore the intestinal flora and alleviate digestive distress.
L. acidophilus rhamnosus is a beneficial bacteria that helps the body to produce Ks own antibodies. It also helps to fight the harmful bacteria staphylococcus and salmonella by keeping the intestines acidic.
E. Faecium produces lactic acid, which helps prevent harmful organisms from entering the blood stream.
