This dairy free super strength acidophilus contains over 4 billion active cells of a mixed culture of L. acidophilus, bifidus and E. faecium in a unique calcium base with Vitamin C. This calcium base not only provides a dairy free acidophilus, but also provides a natural buffering action to ensure that more of the culture reaches your intestinal tract. L. acidophilus provides friendly bacteria that produces lactic acid, L. bifidus is a strain of bacteria that fights toxic and disease causing bacteria and E. faecium is a natural digestive tract bacteria that produces lactic acid and colonizes the intestinal mucosa to protect the blood stream from unfriendly bacteria. The rate and style of growth of these three different cultures vades, the combination ensures maximum growth of friendly intestinal flora.
