Webber Naturals Acidophilus with Bifidus is a combination of friendly lactic acid bacteria that colonize the intestinal tract for better digestive health. Acidophilus produces lactic acid that keeps a proper pH balance in the small intestine, slowing the growth of yeast. Studies show that L. acidophilus helps reduce lactose intolerance, inhibits undesirable organisms in the intestine, reduces cholesterol levels and controls diarrhea. Bifidus helps maintain health of the large intestine in both children and adults, promoting regular bowel movements, protecting from yeast and bacteria such as E.coli, Clostridium and Shigella infections.
Webber Naturals Acidophilus with Bifidus adds Enterococcus faecium to their superior formula. Many European probiotic products contain E. faecium, a friendly bacteria that is stable, resistant to heat and inhibits the growth of a large number of pathogens.

Additional Information
Your body needs bacteria - that's right. Health promoting bacteria live in your digestive tract and fight off "bad" bacteria as they aid digestion. Throughout your body the "good guys" and the "bad guys" of the bacterial world have their showdowns. Many different non-optimum health conditions can be traced to an imbalance where the bad guys are winning. You can support the proliferation of healthy bacteria - often called "intestinal flora" - by supplementing with Acidophilus products. See how these products help when you travel, if you have taken antibiotics (that kill off both good and bad bacteria) and for general improvement in overall health.
