Boneset Boneset is a stimulating tonic used to combat colds, flus, fevers, arthritis, inflammation and more. Boneset is diaphoretic, diuretic, tonic, and antispasmotic. It will produce a sweat if drunk as a hot tea, thereby helping to relieve the fevers of colds and flu. Boneset is also helpful for relieving respiratory symptoms associated with a cold or influenza, where it acts as an antispasmodic, helping to relax membranes. In addition, boneset helps to relieve the deep bone or muscle aches that can accompany influenza. It is thought that boneset has some anti-inflammatory actions, and it is used for rheumatic and arthritic pain with some success.
