Horsetail Silica (Shavegrass) Diuretic / astringent used for urinary tract infections, inflammation, kidney stones, minor wounds and more. The two species of horsetail act as a simple diuretic and astringent, which makes it suitable for lower urinary tract infections where it will increase easy flow of urine and help reduce inflammation of tissues. It can be used along with other herbs as a remedy for kidney stones. It is also hemostatic and can help stop bleeding in urinary tract infections or in heavy menses. Horsetail can also be used externally to help stop slow bleeding from minor wounds.
