I have a chronic urinary tract and ballder infection. I do not take antibiotics but regularely drink pure granbarry juice mixed with water to keep it under control. I now am taking 3x day 12 drops of grapefruit seed extract mixed in water with meals.
I have started 4 days ago and am pretty depressed. I now read that I should not take grape frruit seed extract while on anti depressants. Could my depression already be from having taken this extract for only 4 days or would I have the depression anyway and it is just a matter sitting this one through like I have done like many times before? | | | | | | | | | dave (pharmacy tech) - November 9, 2008, 00:19 | #10001800 | | | | | | | | Grapefruit does effect the absorption of some drugs, antidepressants are one of them. I would discontinue use of the grapefruit seed extract immediately. You need to make an appointment with your doctor so that he can explain chemicals that will effect your medication.Good luck. | | | | | | | | | |
