Aromatic herb used for indigestion, bronchitis, muscle spasms, coughs, infections and much more.
As with all members of the mint family, this plant native to Mediterranean Europe is very aromatic, making it a favourite cooking herb. The volatile oils found in the leaves are the medicinally important agents.
Thyme is considered particularly useful in conditions associated with muscle spasms, especially respiratory conditions such as bronchitis and indigestion. The oil has been shown in studies to be antifungal and antibacterial, properties that may be useful in its treatment of coughs and infections.

Wow! Great News! My dad has a continuous bronchitis, whooping cough and catarrh (mucous) of the upper respiratory tract, too. I love my dad so much that I'll do anything to help him stay physically fit. As a Professor, he's already mentally fit. I will try this by ordering the thyme leaf tea (loose,) today. I accidentally stumbled across this particular type of tea during my "Herbs" research. I have high blood pressure so I no longer eat any take out food; I do not pour any salt into my recipes or on my food; I no longer drink any sodas of any kind; I do not eat any more potato chips or other junk food as this is way too much salt and sugar intake; furthermore, I am careful in choosing my oils for cooking and eating. Lastly, I do drink a lot of water, I have an aunt who had cancer (she had 17 lymphnodes) removed from under her arm. So being as kind as she is; she told me this: "Chris, you know, water gives you a whole lot of energy." I really appreciate your letting me post this on the website, today. I also hope that my information can help other people and that other people's information can help me as well. I love to network when it come to "Healthy Living." Thank you very much and have a good day :-) Chris Diamond.
