Licorice is considered by many to be one of the most important and versatile herbal medicines in the world. Licorice is also used in TCM to treat fatigue and stress. While scientific research supporting this use is limited, glycyrrhizin has been shown to strengthen the effects of the adrenal glands, which is important in dealing with stress.
